The world changes.
Risk and security take on a new meaning and a new proximity.
- Nature's intensity overwhelms our homes...
- ...and the homes of our neighbours. Safety and survival become critical goals.
- On any given day in Canada, approximately 10,000 Canadian Forces personnel are ready to help Canadians during a domestic crisis; and many more can be made available within hours.

- ANNCR VOICEOVER: Canada Command is the Canadian Forces organization responsible for the conduct of all military routine and contingency domestic operations.
- It is a modern structure designed to respond to Canada's 21st century defence needs and geographical realities. With a unified and integrated chain of command, it treats Canada as a single theatre of operations.
- Canada Command brings together:
- ... sea ...
- ... land ...

- ANNCR VOICEOVER: If a crisis or threat to national security occurs, civilian agencies are the first responders for the government.
- However, Canada Command maintains working partnerships with civil authorities from various federal and provincial departments, agencies and organizations involved in emergency management, public safety, health and security matters.
- By doing so, Canada Command makes existing communications, resources and coordination more effective than ever.
